UAA's scenic Chugiak-Eagle River Campus provides curricula and activities to meet the needs of our area through post-secondary courses, skills development, student and support services. Our campus's strength is derived from the ability to quickly adjust to the needs of the local people.
Most of our classes meet in the evening once per week to meet the needs of our working students. Our convenient times and location allow students to start with one or two classes and still be able to work full-time. This method has allowed many students to begin their road to a college degree here in Eagle River.
Many students use our modern computer lab to brush up on skills or learn new ones. Students can also use the computers to access information on the Internet. From eight classes taught in 1977 to an explosion of over 100 classes currently taught, we serve almost 5,000 students every year. We offer classes in all major disciplines from Accounting to Sociology.
