UAA Tech Prep staff works to provide a smooth transition between education/training programs and UAA by:
- Ensuring that articulated classes align with UAA standards
- Informing potential Tech Prep partners, students and their parents of Tech Prep opportunities
- Facilitating the development and maintenance of articulated agreements
- Facilitating concurrent enrollment of Tech Prep students
- Providing CTC program information through outreach to potential UAA students
- Providing support to CTC Tech Prep students working on completing an occupational endorsement, a certificate or degree.
- Collecting and disseminating program data
- Facilitating ongoing dialog and partnering between secondary, postsecondary and business partners by:

- Examining current standards
- Building positive working relationships
- Encouraging career cluster planning
