2010-2011 Scholarship Applications are now being accepted via UA Online!!!
The deadline for submission is February 15, 2010. See the UAA Office of Financial Aid Web site. The UAA Electronic Scholarship Application is available through UAOnline. Applicants must be a current UAA student or have applied for admissions to UAA in order to login to the secrued site of UAOnline.
- Students must login to the secured site of UAOnline, click on Financial Aid, and then find the Scholarships link. Read the instructions and follow them. This is the general scholarship application for all UAA Scholarships.
- The main deadline for submission of the 2010/2011 electronic application is February 15, 2010. Scholarships that go un-awarded at this time will be offered at a later date.
- Please Note: You will not be considered for scholarships unless you have also applied for admissions (prior to the February deadline) to the appropriate degree program. You can apply for admissions electronically via UAOnline.
- Most scholarships only require the general electronic application. You do not choose which scholarships you are applying for. By submitting the electronic application, the computer system searches for the scholarships you are qualified for based on the information in the system (i.e. academic major, class standing, GPA, etc.).
- It is the student's responsibility to research which scholarships they are qualified for, or interested in, on the UAA Scholarship Web site. Submit any supplemental information requested (i.e. specific essays, letters of recommendation, etc.).
- Please Note: Failure to submit required supplemental information will result in the disqualification of your scholarship application. Scholarships that require supplemental information will have an asterisk (*) next to the title of the scholarship.
- To qualify for scholarships which are based on financial need, the applicant must complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) by February 15. The 2010-2011 FAFSA will be available beginning January 1, 2010. If you do not complete the FAFSA, you will not be considered for need-based scholarships. If a scholarship is based on financial need it will be noted in the scholarship qualifications. (International students do not need to complete the FAFSA.)
The application phase for the 2010-2011 academic year CTC Scholarship application cycle is also open. Applications received by the UAA Financial Aid Office for the following three CTC college-wide scholarship competitions will be forwarded to the CTC Dean's Office for review:
- Fort Richardson Civilian Club Scholarship
- Anchorage Community College Book Scholarship
- Community & Technical College Scholarship
