This UAA Student Diversity Award is designed to recognize student contributions that have significantly enhanced diversity on a UAA campus by:

  • increasing visibility of diverse people, cultures, and/or perspectives;
  • creating a welcoming environment;
  • and/or representing diverse student voices through advocacy and participation in UAA student organizations.

To be considered for the UAA Diversity Action Council's Student Diversity Award, students must submit the following:

  1. Complete and submit the Award Application Form. 
  2. Upload a letter of endorsement from a professional/university reference.

The links to both the Award Application Form and where to upload a letter of endorsement will be published no later than November 1, 2014. Please check back then to submit your application.

The UAA Diversity Action Council will review applications and grant tuition to the top applicants. Students from the UAA Anchorage campus and UAA’s community campuses are eligible. Award recipients must meet eligibility criteria including a 2.5 cumulative GPA, Satisfactory Academic Progress and admitted to a UAA certificate or degree program.
