“Learning to Serve”  is the theme of this year’s UAA Development Day. I can think of no better way to help us grow as a community than to focus on serving others.  By developing strategies for making service a core of what we do, we will make UAA a better place for staff, faculty and students. Learning to serve has a wonderful multiplier effect. As we take this day to celebrate staff and all their accomplishments at UAA we will discover how service to the university provides the foundation for professional and personal advancement. These examples will help others be inspired to serve. There are so many ways that each of us is able to contribute at UAA and in our greater Alaska community. I encourage you to take this day to think about how your specials talents can serve others.
