Welcome to the UAA Development Day!

Dear UAA Community,

Amazing stories are being written every day at UAA and we thank you for helping to make them happen. It takes energy and commitment to make things happen. Refueling and recharging are important to keep up the momentum. That's what Development Day is all about.

Thanks to coordinators, Steve Hinds and Betty Hernandez and the Development Day team, this year's Development Day offers an exceptional lineup of workshops geared toward professional and personal growth and some fun.

Dr. Robert Kriegel, author of Sacred Cows Make the Best Burgers, kicks off the day with a keynote on change management.It's a topic useful for everyone.For those who want to participate in hunting a few sacred cows, sign up for Dr. Kriegel's two-hour afternoon interactive workshop.

This year 16 of the 48 workshops offered during the day qualify for Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for Senior Professionals in Human Resources, Certified Public Accounts and others with professional certification.Take time to find the workshops that interest you. Invitations to register for Development Day will be e-mailed to all staff and faculty on April 22nd.Volunteers are also welcome on this all-volunteer run day.

Education and community are powerful energizers. I encourage all employees – and supervisors to encourage their staff when possible – to attend UAA Development Day 2013.
