This year some of our departments and colleges will be participating during the fair.  Come stop by and learn about what is going on within those areas.

Advancement - Amazing Stories
University Advancement invites you to stop by its Amazing Stories booth where you can pick up free t-shirts, play Amazing Stories twister, view the TV commercials and get your Amazing Stories ID card photo.  You will also have a chance to share your amazing story with the storytelling team.

Alaska Earthquake Information Center
Stop by and "make an earthquake."  See what kinds of instruments the Alaska Earthquake Information Center uses to record earthquakes, even in the most remote parts of the state.  We will also have brochures available about earthquake preparedness.

Alumni Relations
Faculty and staff Alumni are welcome to stop by and hear about the UAA Office of Alumni Relations and UAA Alumni Association's upcoming activities and ways to get involved. We also invite faculty/staff alumni to join us for a special pizza party on May 22nd. Stop by the booth to find out more information.

Benefits
UAA Human Resource professionals will discuss open enrollment rules and options. They will be providing assistance with open enrollment paperwork, and will have computers available to help look up information.

Faculty Technology Center
Be sure to stop for a short visit with the Faculty Technology Center and learn about upcoming offerings for improving your technology skills.  Staff will be available to answer your questions about upcoming workshops, training resources, and other professional development opportunities.

Department of Health, Physical Education & Recreation (HPER)
The HPER table will be showcasing our activity courses available to staff with their tuition waiver – for health, wellness and fun (stress relief).

Human Performance Lab
What can be learned?
Learn about the value of baseline health, functional, and performance assessments for anything from activities of daily living to sport competition training. Learn about metabolic testing, body composition, weight management, lactate testing, and VO2 testing.

What can be discovered (found out)?
Find out about the services offered to assist you with establishing and meeting your health and performance goals. Win a free body composition assessment in the BOD POD or a VO2 metabolic test!

The Human Performance Lab, Department of Health, Physical Education & Recreation is providing a number of health, fitness, and performance tests for individuals from the community, and UAA faculty, staff, and students. Scheduling testing is by appointment. Call 907-786-4083 to schedule single or multiple tests. All testing is completed in the Human Performance Lab in Eugene Short Hall Room 102. International Affairs
Stop by the Office of International Affairs table to find out about the exciting study abroad and international exchange opportunities open to our students in more than 60 countries around the world.  Opportunities include language immersion, internships, service learning, undergraduate research, and programs in multiple countries.  Financial aid and scholarships apply in most cases.  Questions about faculty and staff travel for work or business are also welcome.

The Consortium Library is not only for student! Come learn about all the resources and services the Library has to offer - from ebooks and media to library instruction and curriculum support - we are here to help you!

Matanuska-Susitna College
This campus is fortunate to be associated with Fred and Sara Machetanz and their enduring artistic legacies to Alaska.  Three of Fred Machetanz original oil paintings adorn our walls.  To that end we host an Art festival named after their enduring legacy.  Come to the festival; we would love to share the world of Art with you.  We invite you to stop by and learn about the two different 4-day workshops in Art that we are offering May 28-31.  There are 22 workshops you can choose from on June 1.  Enjoy our celebration of the Arts!

Employees may pick up information and see how to access thousands of online courses and books available 24x7 at no charge to them or their department.  Available materials include courses to help prepare them for certain certification exams or to submit as re-certification credits.  For additional information, visit Skillsoft Resources.
