Annual Showcase of Films By and About People with Disabilities Reel Eyes is a showcase of films by and about people with disabilities that occurs in the spring. 2008 was the fifth year this event took place. The lineup typically includes films from popular culture as well as documentaries with showings in multiple locations. Many selections come from the DSS Lending Library.

The 2008 Reel Eyes Showcase of Films featured award winning films, documentaries, as well as video from you tube. Films were shown in multiple locations across the state including:
- Juneau (March 3)
- Anchorage (March 18 and 25)
- Palmer (March 19)
- Fairbanks (March 21)
- Homer (March 28)
- Kodiak (March 28)
- Valdez (March 28 and 29)
- Soldotna (March 27 and April 3)
