The University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA) extension site at the scenic Chugiak-Eagle River Campus (CERC) provides instruction and related activities to meet the Chugiak and Eagle River community needs for postsecondary courses, workforce development, professional and continuing education, and student support services.
The UAA CERC is administered under the Community & Technical College (CTC). The CERC campus is responsive to the needs of the local community by working collaboratively with the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Business and Public Policy and other university industry partners in the region. We offer classes scheduled in a once a week meeting format in the evenings and on the weekends to provide educational access for nontraditional, working adults or those who need greater flexibility in an academic schedule. We also provide student services, including academic advising, through extended evening hours until 7:00 p.m. during the week. Visit our Testing Center for proctoring services, our Learning Resource Center for tutoring in a number of subject areas, or just stop by our two open computer labs to complete your course work. From just eight classes offered in 1977 to more than 250 course sections taught today, CERC serves nearly 5,000 students every year. We offer a number of General Education Requirements, including subjects in the humanities, social sciences, arts, math, and natural sciences. We also offer a number of business courses in College of Business and Public Policy disciplines. Let us help you begin your educational journey and get on the road to completing your college degree here in Eagle River! |
