At CERC students can earn an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in general studies degree. This 60-credit degree is comprised of general education requirements (GERs) along with 27 credits of electives.

Program Overview

The Associate of Arts (AA) degree provides a solid foundation in mathematics, written and oral communication, the natural and social sciences, the humanities and fine arts. The degree prepares students for career advancement and baccalaureate programs and to better understand their world. The associate degree offers a general studies emphasis and, for students planning to pursue a baccalaureate degree, emphases in fine arts, humanities, natural sciences and social sciences.

The GERs for the AA degree will also meet the GERs required for a bachelor's degree. In addition, elective credits may meet future bachelor degree requirements. It is important to meet with an academic advisor early in your college career to determine in advance which credits for the associate degree will also meet requirements for bachelor's degree credit.
