What is a Service Plunge?
Once every month, Bonner Leader students will host a group service project in the community. These are open to the entire campus each time dependent upon group consensus. It is suggested that Bonners advertise and work with at least one other campus organization to plan this Saturday event.
Each organization should be contacted at least a month in advance in order provide them with plenty of time to check and schedule availability in addition to preparing for our student volunteers. These organizations should also be updated with a list of how many students have signed up for the Plunge a week prior to the event. It is important that Bonner Leaders connect with the community through service, but to bring service opportunities to other members on campus.
It is a main goal of the Bonner Leader program to foster a strong relationship with not only your community partners, but sharing those relationships with your fellow UAA students.
