The UAA Bonner Leaders Program promotes the development of student leaders while advancing active and engaged learning by connecting students with community service opportunities.

So what will do you get out of the deal?

• Training and support to further develop your leadership skills and understanding of social issues.
• Engage with a group of student leaders committed to community service at UAA.
• Membership in the nationally recognized Bonner Leaders Program.
• Travel to national student leadership events
• Tuition support totaling up to $1,000 per year

So what are you committing to?

• Day-long Fall orientation with other Bonner Leaders
• 600 hours of service over a two-year period (this breaks down to about 8-10 hrs/wk). Hours can be completed over the summer as well.
• Meet with all UAA Bonners for training and reflection
• Together organize a UAA-wide service project during the academic year
• A second-year summer internship of your choice
