Constitution Week Question of the Day

The Question of the Day format was developed for 2010 Constitution Week. It has since been used for several other campus-wide celebrations and was used in the 2011 Constitution Week as well.

This type of online programming is aimed at engaging students and encouraging investigation on the part of individuals from all of our campuses.

The Making of the Question of the Day

The Question of the Day contest is a great example of how several technologies can be used together for online programming.

1) Pages are built for both questions and answers for each day's question. These pages are built to the UAA Webpublishing standards, often incorporating awesome elements such as embedded video. The pages are activated and inactivated as needed during the contest.

2) The contest submissions are captured with an embedded Qualtrics survey.

3) Contest winners are determined with a random number generator.

We get hundreds of submissions during the weeklong activity, but if you miss your chance to play along there are still opportunities to get involved. You can use the feedback form, or see additional opportunities to engage.
