The Center for Community Engagement & Learning offers many ways for faculty to become involved with community-based learning and research at UAA. To encourage your exploration in these areas, we also offer several different funding opportunities specifically related to the programs we offer.
- Faculty Minigrants: Award to fund full-time faculty to redesign curriculum and support research & creative activities incorporating community experiences and knowledge.
- Selkregg Award: Award supporting faculty in the development of community-based research, creative activity, and course-based service-learning projects.
Student Opportunities Requiring Faculty Advisors
- Community Engaged Student Assistants: Provides tuition waivers to any graduate or undergraduate student willing to support faculty in their community engaged learning and research for a semester long project.
- Dr. Alex Hills Engineering & Civic Engagement Award: This award goes to an undergraduate of exceptional merit in support of their research.
