Student applicants can assist you in:

• Community-based projects
• Community partnership development
• Enhancement of current courses that you have always wanted to incorporate a service learning component
• Additional community-based projects that you just have not had the time or support to do in the past
• Be an example of excellence for other students in your classroom to get more involved and active with their major

How to apply

• Identify a student and invite them to assist you in any of the above for a semester-long project
• Fill out an application, tuition waiver, and faculty letter of support 
• Apply by January 17, 2008 to Kim Miller at engage@uaa.alaska.edu
