What is a Community Service-Learning Advocate?
Any graduate or undergraduate student willing to support faculty in their community-based learning and research for a semester-long project.
Why be an Advocate?
Student applicants assist faculty in:
- Interesting Community-based projects
- Development of important partnerships in the community
- Student leadership and engagement on campus and in the community
Students in return will receive:
- Meaningful experience working with faculty and community members
- Hands-on opportunities utilizing your discipline to work with the local community
- Tuition waiver to help compensate for the work you perform
