What is a Community Service-Learning Advocate?

Any graduate or undergraduate student willing to support faculty in their community-based learning and research for a semester-long project.

Why be an Advocate?

Student applicants assist faculty in:

  • Interesting Community-based projects
  • Development of important partnerships in the community
  • Student leadership and engagement on campus and in the community

Students in return will receive:

  • Meaningful experience working with faculty and community members
  • Hands-on opportunities utilizing your discipline to work with the local community
  • Tuition waiver to help compensate for the work you perform
