UAA faculty and staff make a difference with private support

Across the UAA campuses, private gifts enhance and build the University community. Contributions from faculty and staff empower UAA to accomplish so much more and help students achieve the extraordinary. Here are just a few of the ways your coworkers and colleagues have made an impact:

  • For the last decade, the Student Health and Counseling Center staff’s commitment to the Emergency Food Cache fund has helped countless students through financially difficult times. This fund has made a direct impact for UAA’s students and families surviving the challenges of an economic downturn, both at home and on campus.

  • In the Honors College, the Estelle J. Spatz Undergraduate Research fund has given students in all academic disciplines a chance to participate in high-level research at UAA. From arts and humanities to the social and natural sciences, undergrads are given the opportunity to learn, explore and contribute to the world.

  • Employees across campus know how important scholarships are for student success. The UAA General Scholarship fund provides full scholarship support, and bridges the financial gaps to make a UAA student’s college career successful.

  • Because of the generosity UAA staff and faculty, the Consortium Library Endowment is able to provide extended hours of operation for students to focus on their studies, allowing them to access important resources when they are needed most. This has been a meaningful way to reach out to UAA’s student body and community members.
