A Little More About Kate…
I was born and raised near Boston, Massachusetts where I became a dedicated Boston Red Sox fan and a loyal drinker of Dunkin Donuts coffee! Growing up I always had a passion for language and earned my degree in Spanish with a minor in Latin American Studies from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. While working towards my degree I had the opportunity to study abroad for two summers in Salamanca, Spain. This experience immediately sparked my interest in both study abroad and in recruiting students for national and international programs. Then in the spring of 2005 I left my beloved Boston Red Sox and Dunkin Donuts coffee behind to explore the Last Frontier. Alaska offers something for everyone – from winter and summer activities, mountains to hike, rivers to float, the theatre, music and more! If you have questions about Alaska or the University of Alaska Anchorage send me an email at Kate.Miller@uaa.alaska.edu or leave me a message at 907-786-1489.
