Declaring a Gerontology Minor

The first step a student should take when considering a Gerontology Minor, is to contact the Program Chair (information below) to ensure awareness of program requirements, to select appropriate courses for the upcoming semester(s), and to complete any necessary petitions for applicable classes and/or practicums.

Ann Jache, Ph.D.
Program Chair, Gerontology Minor
Room 371 in the Social Sciences Building (SSB)

Please read the UAA Catalog for policy regarding academic minors. A minor may only be issued simultaneously with a baccalaureate degree. Students should declare minors no later than the deadline to submit an Application for Graduation and must include the minor on the Application for Graduation in order for the degree to appear on official transcripts.

It is important that students meet with Ann Jache, or another gerontology minor advisor, at least once a semester until completion of the program.
