Classified and APT Councils are hosting their annual Fall Retreat: Thursday, September 4th
9:00am-4:00pm in LIB 307
The Governance Office has invited Chancellor Case and his cabinet to speak on human resources, administration, and prioritization. The councils will also hold a discussion with Ron Kamahele, the Director of Human Resources and Erik Seastedt, Chief Human Resources Officer on furlough questions and human resources issues. Additionally, UAA student leaders will present on the Smoke Free Campus Initiative and prior council presidents will recap the last busy and productive year.
Erik Seastedt Answers UAA Staff Questions on Proposed Furlough Policy

Erik will also attend by teleconference the UAA APT and Classified Council Staff Retreat on Thursday, September 4th to answer further questions on the proposed policy. In addition, the Staff Alliance, a governance group representing staff at UAA, UAF, UAS, and Statewide, will discuss this proposed policy at their September 28th meeting. Further, Erik Seastedt and UA Legal Counsel are inviting participation by any staff system-wide on the wording of the proposed furlough policy. Several UAA staff members have already volunteered, but the door is still open to participants. Please contact Monique Musick, Chair of Staff Alliance if you wish to take part in reworking the proposed furlough policy language. You can also provide feedback to the UAA Governance Office.

APT and Classified Councils are hosting a High Tea: Wednesday, March 26th
8:30-10:00am in University Center Lobby
This is a great opportunity for both hourly
and salaried employees to come meet the councils, socialize, and enjoy some tea
and treats.We encourage any and all employees who are
interested to stop by the University Center Lobby from 8:30a-10:00a to speak
with the council members and see what we are about. Feel free to come by with
questions, concerns, or just an appetite for snacks and conversation! While there, find out about joining one of the
councils (elections are in April) and getting involved in the UAA community.

Tanaina Child Development Center Supply Drive: February 17th-28th
Your UAA College of Education is hosting a supply drive for the Tanaina Child Development Center. The drive will be running through Monday, Febraury 17th through Friday, February 28th. Tanaina Child Development Center is a private nonprofit child development center serving the children of UAA students, faculty and staff. Please help support our future Seawolves!
