Field Day Fun
Remember the games you played as a kid? Four Square, tug-of-war, pick-up basketball? Well you can have all that fun again at UAA Homecoming Field Day, Oct 5 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on the lawn outside of the Wells Fargo Sports Complex.
Sweeten the deal even more. Mosey on over to the Greek Life-sponsored Barbecue nearby at noon.
One of the games you can also try is the Alaska Native High Kick! Now that takes skill.
You can sign up now as a team of six for tug-of-war, or a team of three for a 3-on-3 basketball team Just stop by the Student Union Information Desk or call (907) 786-1204.

Viva La Poem: Community Poetry Reading
Oct. 3, 6-8 p.m., Student Union
As part of Homecoming Week, the Student Union and Commuter Student Services is hosting Viva La Poem.
This community reading is an opportunity for members of the UAA community and of the community at large to hop up on stage and read your poetry or the poetry of a poet you admire.
Free admission, free participation and there might even be free coffee,
tea and snacks. This is a low-pressure environment where you can hear
poems, meet poets and think poetry.

Shopping Cart Parade
Oct. 6, 2:15 p.m., Spine
UAA has secured about 40 shopping carts that will parade through The Spine near the Wells Fargo Sports Complex on Thursday, Oct. 6 at 2:15 p.m.

The Parade will also be featured mid-game during the Kendall Classic. Don't miss out on your 15-minutes of Homecoming fame!
