Held the Friday prior to the start of the fall semester, the University Honors New Student Orientation brings new Honors students and their families together with Honors faculty, staff and current Honors students.
New Honors students receive information regarding:

- Benefits of undergraduate research
- Forty-Ninth State Fellows Program
- Natural and Complex Systems Program
- Honors floor
- University Honors Student Advisory Board
Students and their families also enjoy lunch together and are invited to take a campus tour.
