Honors Academic Advising

Mentoring and advising are key to the Honors experience, and our faculty and staff are committed to giving students individualized advice.

During the first two years of the Honors College, you should meet with your University Honors Advisor at least once per semester to review your academic performance and approve your course schedule prior to registration.

You will have two academic advisors:

University Honors Advisor:

Your award winning advisor is Judith Owens-Manley, who is also the Assistant Dean of the University Honors College.  If you would like to set up an appointment for advising, please call 786-1057 or email jowensmanley@uaa.alaska.edu

Departmental Major Advisor:

As soon as you select a major, you will also have an academic advisor in your major. This advisor is responsible for monitoring your progress in your major department. If you would like assistance with contacting your departmental advisor, please call 786-1086, or contact your major department directly.  You may also visit Who is My Academic Advisor?
