How to Make Changes to Benefit Elections:
1.) Annual Benefits Open Enrollment Changes:
2008 Benefits Open Enrollment is open from April 15, 2008 to May 16, 2008. Benefits eligible employees may make changes to their optional benefits annually during the annual open enrollment period for the next benefit plan year. The UA benefit plan year is July 1 - June 30. The Open Enrollment period is typically between mid-April, and mid-May.
Changes to optional benefits outside of an open enrollment period may only be made if the employee experiences a "major life event". Changes due to a major life event must be consistent with the life event.
