The DiSC personality inventory, developed by Dr. William Moulton Marston, profiles four primary behavioral styles, each with a very distinct and predictable pattern of observable behavior. Those styles are Dominance, Influence, Steadiness and Conscientiousness. Those participating in the workshop gain a better understanding of themselves and others, which will lead to more effective communication, understanding and tolerance within the work group. The Everything DiSC Workplace profile can be used with everyone in an organization, regardless of title or role.
The four dimensions are:
- Dominance: People with strength in this dimension are to the point, decisive and bottom line oriented. These people tend to be independent and results driven. They are strong-willed people who enjoy challenges, taking action, and immediate results.
- Influence: Individuals with strength in this dimension are enthusiastic, optimistic and outgoing. They prefer participating on teams, sharing thoughts, and entertaining and energizing others.
- Steadiness: Those with strength in this quadrant are seen as empathetic & cooperative. They tend to be team players and are supportive and helpful to others. They prefer being behind the scene, working in consistent and predictable ways. They are often even-tempered, accommodating, patient, good listeners and avoid change and conflict
- Conscientiousness: Strength in this dimension can be observed through concerned, cautious and correct behavior. These people are often focused on details and quality. They are analytical, reserved, precise, private and systematic. They plan ahead, constantly check for accuracy, and what to know "how" and "why".
Each member of the work group will be provided a link to take the Everything Workgroup profile and will receive a 20 page individual assessment. There is a cost of approximately $44 per participant to cover the cost of the profiles.
