Anchorage, Department of Human Services offers both an Associate of Applied
Science (AAS) degree, preparing students for entry level
employment, and a Bachelor of Human Services (BHS) practitioners degree which
prepares students to work effectively in any community based human services
setting dedicated to the empowerment of clients through education,
paraprofessional counseling, and human service practice. The AAS is
articulated with the baccalaureate degree in a "two plus two"
sequence. The program offers specialized areas in alcohol and substance
abuse, disabilities, diversity issues, or family and youth. The Human Services Department also offers a Graduate Certificate in Advanced Human Service Systems. |
