UAA Official Seal

UAA Official Seal

The most formal symbol of the university is the seal. The seal is reserved for use on documents or forms of the highest official rank from the University President, the University Chancellor and the University Board of Regents such as diplomas, official certificates, certain invitations, legal documents and other printed materials. Use of the university seal is reserved for formal academic ceremonies and for specific university documents (transcripts, catalogs, etc.). The seal is not a communications mark for identifying the university; that is the job of the university wordmark and lettermark.

Whenever the seal is used, the following rules apply:

  • The complete seal must be used.
  • The seal must be used alone and never combined with another emblem or symbol.
  • Type may not touch the seal or be superimposed over it, except when it is used as a watermark.
  • The seal may never be distorted.
  • The minimum size of the seal on all materials will be 7/16 of an inch in diameter.
  • Only images of the seal of reproduction quality may be used.
