The Office of the CIO and IT Services is responsible for UAA's telecommunications, network infrastructure, and academic technology support services. We work closely with distributed IT staff located on UAA campuses as well as with our colleagues at UAS, UAF and our Statewide organization.

The “Business of IT” is managed with the understanding that our technology infrastructure and services must be clearly defined, operated to meet the high expectations of our customers, and remain flexible in order to respond to UAA’s changing needs.

IT Services’ organization uses an ITIL framework. We have fully implemented ITIL’s Incident, Problem, Change and Configuration management processes. Our IT Governance and Project Management have been in place since 1999 and have undergone refinement through continuous improvement, evaluation of our efforts and input from the community.
