Five Teenage Driving Behavior Focus Groups were held in Anchorage between May and July of 1998. The groups were composed of six to ten teens that met at local schools, a recreation center, and an Army National Guard training camp. Participants ranged from 14 to 19 years of age, with a total of 15 females and 26 males.

This project had the following three objectives:

  • To explore attitudes Anchorage have teenagers toward driver training education
  • To explore attitudes Anchorage teenagers have toward graduated licensing programs
  • To learn more about teenagers’ driving experiences
