The Tribal TANF study, funded by the State of Alaska, Department of Health and Human Services, will assess the characteristics of clients participating in the Tribally administered Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program. This is a follow-up to the statewide TANF study done in 2011, and explores the barriers to self-sufficiency among Tribal TANF recipients. The study will combine and analyze data collected through in-depth interviews with TANF case managers and a survey of  TANF clients.
