UAA conferred over 2,000 certificates and degrees, celebrated its first Marshall Scholar, broke ground on a new Health Sciences Building, and set new performance records on three of five core metrics in 2009.  You can read about these and other accomplishments in our annual report Performance 09, released in September 2009.

Measuring Success with Underprepared Students presents the results of a year-long study of students who entered UAA in the Fall of 2007.  Details include how many new students participated in campus assessments, how many tested as underprepared, how many were successful in completing developmental coursework, and how many went on to successfully complete college-level work within a year.  The project team included researchers and developmental education professionals from six of UAA’s campuses and sites.  We expect this analysis to become a regular feature of student success reporting at UAA.
