Students are expected to arrive no later than the Thursday before classes begin. Below is a list of responsibilities students must take care in their first couple days in Anchorage and a list of area resources.

The Anchorage airport is the Ted Stevens International Airport (ANC) and it is located approximately 7 miles west of campus.

Attend New Student Orientation (Fall Only)

Attend Campus Kickoff (Fall Only)

Meet with your Adviser

Take your Accuplacer Exam (Undergraduates Only)

Find a job on Campus

Get a Social Security Number (only if working)

Get a Banking Account 

Learn the Bus Systems (Town and Campus)

Get an Alaska Driver's Licence

Get your UAA Parking Permit
