American Councils for International Education
American Councils has offered quality-assured, intensive overseas language study and research programs since 1976, with program sites at partner universities in Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Vladimir, as well as in the regions of Eurasia and Southeastern Europe.
Also of note, the Contemporary Russia Summer Program at the Moscow Higher School of Economics, one of Russia's most progressive universities, provides a unique opportunity for students to combine content-based course work in English with Russian language classes tailored to meet the needs of students at all language levels, including those with no previous knowledge of Russian. Students majoring in fields other than Russian are especially encouraged to consider this option.
American Councils is able to award full and partial scholarships to qualified participants in most programs thanks to significant grant support from the U.S. Department of Education (Fulbright-Hays) and the U.S. Department of State (Title VIII). In addition, recipients of FLAS, Boren, Benjamin A. Gilman and university fellowships frequently apply these funds to study on our programs.
