HIST A390A Course Description: This course will examine 5 major revolutions in modern world history: the French, the Russian, the Chinese, the Cuban, and the Iranian Revolution. Major themes of the course include the origins, characteristics and impact of revolutions; the role of the masses; the role of ideology and revolutionary parties and leadership; revolutionary government, violence and terror; revolutionary war; and the revolutionary mobilization and transformation of society and culture.

PHIL A400 Course Description: An integrated study of a selected topic on a global ethical issue and the interests and responsibilities of individuals, communities and societies.
