All student on F-1 or J-1 visas at UAA are required to have health insurance. Please review the Health Insurance Requirements We recommend purchasing health insurance from United Health Care. A guide to purchasing United Health Care Insurance Online can be found here. 

The health insurance deadline for Spring 2012 will be 5pm, Tuesday, January 31. Failure to meet this deadline will result in a hold on your account which will prevent registration, adding or dropping classes, and other essential tasks.  You must submit proof of insurance, take a health insurance exam and pass with 85% or better to have the hold removed.  Please don't miss the deadline! Please note that proof of insurance must be in English and meet the Health Insurance Requirements above.
