Health Insurance

All student on F-1 or J-1 visas at UAA are required to have acceptable health insurance. You can find the requirements for acceptable insurance at here.

The health insurance deadline for Summer 2012 is Tuesday, May, 29 at 5 p.m. Failure to meet this deadline will result in a hold on your account which will prevent registration, adding or dropping classes, and other essential tasks.  You must submit proof of insurance, take a health insurance exam and pass with 80% or better to have the hold removed.  Please don't miss the deadline! Please note that proof of insurance must be in English and meet the Health Insurance Requirements above. You can submit your proof of health insurance by email as a PDF or JPEG file to Carter Caywood at cjcaywood@uaa.alaska.edu or turn in a paper copy at the University Center.

All those proof of health insurance must states following: Name of Insured Peron, coverage amount, and end of coverage date.
