After you have been admitted to UAA, you may be able register for classes, if you meet the prerequisites for the courses you want to take.  If you have less than a 60 IBT TOEFL score or 6 Overall Band score on IELTS you may need ESL courses. If you have scores in those ranges, you should wait to register for classes until you arrive, or arrange to take the Accuplacer where you are.  You can find information about taking the Accuplacer remotely near the bottom of the page at http://www.uaa.alaska.edu/advising-testing/assessment/accuplacer.cfm.  Most new undergraduate students on student visas must take the Accuplacer test before registering for English or Math classes. If you qualify, you can either register online at https://uaonline.alaska.edu/ or you can register in person at the University Center. Before you register for classes, please go through the "How to Register" handout.  If you are uncertain about whether you should register for classes before arriving at UAA, please contact Carter Caywood at cjcaywood@uaa.alaska.edu to discuss your situation.

Registering through UAOnline

To register online, go to https://uaonline.alaska.edu/ and login to the secured area. Click on "Student Services and Account Information" and then "Registration". For detailed instruction on how to register, refer to the "How to Register Online" instructions.

Registering in Person

To register for classes in person, you have to go to Enrollment Management at the University Center (UC). It is located at 3901 Old Seward Highway on the East side of the University Center Mall. Enrollment Management is open Monday-Thursday 8am-6pm and Friday 8am-5pm. You will have to sign in at the Kiosk and fill out an Add/Drop Form. Make sure you bring a photo ID (Driver's License, Passport or UAA Student ID) with you when you want to register for classes. You can get to the University Center with the Seawolf Shuttle. The shuttle departs the Admin Building and the Bookstore every 30 minutes. You can find a current schedule on the Seawolf Shuttle website.
