Driver's License

If you already have a valid non-commercial driver's license from another state, US territory or country, you may drive in Alaska for up to 90 days. After 90 days, you are required to obtain a Alaska driver's license. For more information about how to get a driver's license, see the Getting a Driver's License info sheet or go tot he DMV website

Public Bus Routes

The Municipality of Anchorage offers a public bus system called the People Mover. The buses typically run every hour between 6am and 10pm during weekdays and between 10am and 5pm on weekends. There are 14 bus routes, serving more than 1,100 bus stops in Anchorage, Eagle River, Chugiak, and Peters Creek.

Riding the People Mover is FREE for UAA students with a valid Wolfcard (Student ID Card).

Seawolf Shuttle

UAA offers the Seawolf Shuttle to student for transportation on campus. The shuttle runs usually every 10-30 minutes and services the Commons, the east and west side of campus, the University Center, and the Aviation Complex.
