  • Nataliya Udovyk, German minor and 2008-2009 Congress-Bundestag recipient, has completed a Master's of Science degree in International Energy Economics and Administration at the University of Leipzig, in cooperation with Moscow State University for International Affairs. Ms. Udovyk interned with Gazprom Germania and Allianz Climate Solutions. She is currently working for BP Alaska, where she is part of the BP Challenge Program, a developmental program for young professionals. Congratulations and good luck, Nataliya!

  • Matthew Spence, a current M.A.T. student with an emphasis on German and a Languages alumnus with a B.A. in German and a minor in Alaska Native Studies (2012), was selected as the Anchorage School District's 2013 UAA German Intern of the Year. Matthew is also a 2013 U.S. Fulbright National Finalist, and was honored for his accomplishment at UAA's Ninth Annual Undergraduate Research and Discovery Awards Ceremony.
