The Department of Mathematical Sciences offers courses covering the major areas of computer science. These courses constitute the basis for an undergraduate major which prepares the student for a variety of professional and technical careers in business, industry and government, or for graduate work leading to advanced degrees.
The department also offers courses for students from other fields who will use computer science as a tool in their own areas. A minor in computer science is also available. Students interested in computer science will be advised with respect to computer science courses by the department so they may profitably pursue their academic and professional interests.
