Demonstrate quantitative and analytical skills and knowledge

*Compute and interpret ratios and percentages, and use scientific notation

* Use function notation, including composition and inverses

* Solve simple applied problems using appropiate algebraic techniques

* Demonstrate graphical competency in graphing lines, parabolas, and circles

Students should be able to solve mathematical problems using logic-based methodologies.

Students should be able to demonstrate traditional mathematical methods in Calculus, Abstract and Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, Real and Complex Analysis, and Probability.

Students should be confident in their mastery of subject matter required for the mathematics degrees.

Graduates should have the mathematical knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in their chosen careers.

Students should be assigned an academic faculty advisor when they declare as a mathematics major.
