Cepeda is a junior at a the UAA and is pursuing a degree in Computer Information and Office Systems. Cepeda is working with Mrs. Janette Thornton and has been a student office assistant for the center since 2011. 

 

 

 

 

 

 
 

Jaeyeon "Jenny" Cho - Distinction Assistant

Jenny is assisting Mr. Thorn to increase the number of underrepresented racial minority students involved in distinction programs, such as the UAA Honors Program, specific honor societies, mentoring or leadership development programs, service learning opportunities, internship programs and others. She is majoring in Biological Science and minoring in Art with hope of becoming a dentist.

 

 

 

 

Camilla Hussein-Scott - Outreach Assistant

Camilla | UAA MCCCamilla is a Justice major with a minor in Legal Studies and will continue her education to become a lawyer. As a student outreach assistant, she is currently working with Mrs. Janine Elgamal and Judy on the Seawolf Success Academy program. Camilla is half German, and half Syrian, has been a resident of Alaska for 6 years and the U.S. for 25 years. Her hobbies are cooking, volunteer work, reading and knitting. She is currently a junior and wants to graduate with her oldest daughter, who is also a student at UAA, in 2015.

In her role as a Student Outreach Assistant she works on raising awareness of the role of the Multicultural Center in the UAA community, recruit students for the Seawolf Success Academy and acts as an MCC representative during outreach events.
 

Judy Vu - Outreach Assistant

judy_vu | UAA MCCJudy is from Vietnam. This is her junior year at UAA, and her major is Biological Science. Currently, Judy is working with Mrs. Janine Elgamal for the Seawolf Success Academy this summer. She also volunteers at the Providence Hospital in the NICU and aspires to be a dentist in the future.  Judy loves photography, being active, and spending time with her family.
