US Department of State: Foreign Service & Civil Service Career & Internship Opportunities

Discover how you can have a global impact and show the world a side of America it has never seen. Take advantage of this rare opportunity to meet with a representative from the U.S. Department of State about the diverse range of careers available in the U.S. Foreign Service. Ambassador Steve Browning, a Senior Foreign Service Officer now serving as Diplomat in Residence at the University of California, Berkeley, and Mr. Mark Azua, will talk about careers with the State Department. They are especially interested in speaking with those interested in serving as Foreign Service Officers and Specialists, as well as students who might like to apply for a State Department internship.
This information session will cover the Foreign Service Exam and selection process, as well as the 22 Foreign Service Specialist tracks. We will discuss foreign language skills and other factors that may be involved in consideration of your application.
