Step 2. MyUA Quick User Guide

MyUA students, faculty and staff access to UA’s online resources from inside and outside the university. This is done by providing a single sign-on access to student, faculty and staff for most online services including UA Online, Blackboard, e-mail and Meeting Maker.

Additionally, MyUA is customizable with small file and photo uploads, a message board, links, announcements, and news.

UAA user can access this site by going to the following URL:
http://www.uaa.alaska.edu/myua/

Initial users may need to follow a few steps for MyUA to be accessible and fully functional

1. First time users may need to change their password at the

following link:

http://www.uaa.alaska.edu/myua/password.cfm

note: the password must conform to the following rules

  • 8 characters long
  • At least 1 lower case letter
  • At least 1 upper case letter
  • At least 1 number

2. Once your password has been changed you may log into the site:

https://authserv.alaska.edu/?redirect=MyUA&style=uaa

a. In the "UA Username or ID#" field, enter either your UA Username or your UA ID number

i. If you have difficulty finding this information, look it up here:

https://uaonline.alaska.edu/banprod/owa/bwgk2gid.P_DisplayID_Request

b. In the "Password" field, enter your password as set in the first step.

c. Press the "Continue" button.

d. First time users will be greeted with a "MyUA Anchor Email Selection" dialog.

i. Choose the email address you would prefer to access from within the system by selecting the radio button to the left of it.

ii. Press the "Continue to MyUA

Note: If you skip this step you will not have e-mail access within MyUA.
