UAA will host an accreditation evaluation visit on October 17-18. Our accrediting agency is the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU), which grants institutional accreditation within our region. The accreditation process is an opportunity for critical self review, and collaborative peer evaluation. Our relationship with NWCCU is a collegial one, focused on fostering improvement.
This visit is part of a regularly scheduled interim evaluation. We submitted a report in September responding to the information requests from NWCCU. The report covered actions taken regarding general recommendations from our 2000 visit, institutional changes since the last visit, and status updates on 22 new academic programs.
Evaluators will be on campus Monday and Tuesday, October 17 and 18. They will meet with faculty, staff, administrators, and students.
