New Alumni Association Chapter

On Tuesday, August 10 the UAA Alumni Association Board of Directors approved the creation of a new chapter for Journalism and Public Communications.

Rachel Grenier, class of 2001, organized the Journalism and Public Communications chapter. Rachel and the 11 other founding members of the chapter believe the UAA JPC program has produced a crop of enthusiastic graduates dedicated to their discipline.

All alumni with an interest in Journalism and Public Communications are welcome to join the chapter. Current members of the Association may change their membership status to reflect dual membership with the JPC chapter.

. Campus Kickoff needs Alumni help

UAA is pulling out all the stops for the annual campus kickoff! On Saturday afternoon, August 28, hundreds of returning students will be welcomed with the Taste of UAA, a carnival, music in the Cuddy Quad, a BBQ dinner, and a live comedy show.

As a UAA alum or friend, you too can be a part of the memorable event! Won't you please volunteer 2-3 hours of your time to help support this great event. Your support will help these wonderful students start their year off with a bang! Volunteers get a free t-shirt and BBQ dinner, too!

Come join your fellow alumni in building memories for these students by calling David Woodley at 786-1942.
