Grand Finale of UAA's 2004 Business Plan Competition

The final stage of the University of Alaska Anchorage College of Business and Public Policy’s 2004 Business Plan Competition showcases business plans from students who own or part-own (or who would like to build) their own company.The competition is Wednesday, Dec. 8, 6 to 9 p.m. in the Consortium Library.

First prize winner: cash prize of $2,000 or entry and travel expenses for two student representatives to one National Business Plan Competition (travel expenses up to $3,000 and the opportunity to compete for prizes in national competitions in the range $2,000-$7,500

Second Prize: $1,000 cash

Third Prize: $500 cash

 Anchorage Mayor Mark Begich is scheduled to deliver a keynote address at 6:45 p.m. Students, faculty members and the general public are welcome to come listen to the presentations and to network with the competition judges and other local business people.
