UAA Presents Concert For Red Cross 80/20 Disaster Fund By: Lori Keim Oct 13, 2005 Open Cases/Open Hearts
UAA’s Music Department will offer a concert to benefit the Red Cross 80/20 Fund. All performers are UAA faculty, including: Timothy Smith (piano), Mark Wolbers (clarinet), Mari Hahn (soprano), Laura Koenig (flute), Rozanne Wilson-Marsh (guitar), Christopher Sweeney (trombone), Sigrun Franzen (organ), John Damberg (percussion), and Mark Manners (guitar). They will perform a wide array of classical and modern selections, including works by Liszt, Franck, J. B. Arban and Leonard Bernstein. Two of the performers are new to Anchorage: Christopher Sweeney and Sigrun Franzen.
The UAA Department of Music faculty, staff, and students organizing this event are volunteering their time and talents to help fellow Americans in this great time of need. As the music faculty performs with open cases, we invite Anchorage to donate with open hearts.

Eighty percent of the revenues will go to help disaster victims nationally and twenty percent will stay in Alaska to care for Alaskan families in need.
