Overview

Native Student Services is an environment designed for students to study, received academic support, meet with faculty and peers, make friends, and enjoy conversation and coffee.

Mission
Native Student Services provides quality support services to Native and rural students which promote student retention, academic success, and personal adjustment to the University of Alaska Anchorage.

Services
Native Student Services offers a variety of services, including educational outreach, assistance in educational/vocational planning, assistance in applying for acceptance to degree and certificate programs, assistance in applying for financial aid, transitional advising, and referrals.

Lounge
The Native Student Services lounge is a welcoming space for group study, peer support, and leadership opportunities, community-building, and cultural programing activities.   A ten (10) station student-use computer lab is also contained within the lounge.

Location
Native Student Services is located in Room 108 on the first floor of the Edward and Cathryn Rasmuson Hall (formerly the Business Education Building).
