About the Scholarship:

The Kaare Birkeland Scholarship was established to provide funding for a University of Alaska Anchorage student to attend the University of Stavanger (UiS) for one year, and in alternate years, for a UiS student to attend UAA for a year. Although there is no exchange agreement between UiS and UAA, students from both universities have benefited from the opportunity to learn first-hand about each other's countries and cultures since 2002.
