What to expect on the day of your Orientation?


Where are we located?

New Student Orientation - Student Union Suite 101

Anchorage, Alaska 99508

Directions:

Driving Directions to Orientation from Wasilla:
Take the Glenn Highway (AK-1) South towards Anchorage
Take the Bragaw St. Exit
Turn Left on Bragaw Street
Turn Right on Northern Lights Blvd.
Turn Left on UAA Dr.
Turn Right on Providence Dr.
Turn Right on Spirit Way

Driving Directions to Orientation from Soldotna
Head east on Kenai Spur Hwy
Take a Slight Left at AK-1/Sterling Highway
Turn Left at AK-1/AK-9/Seward Highway towards Anchorage
Continue to follow AK-1/Seward Highway into Anchorage
Turn Right at E 36th Ave.
36th Ave. becomes Providence Dr.
Turn Left at Seawolf Dr.
Turn Right at first stop sign onto Spirit Way

What to Bring?
  • Wear comfortable shoes and clothes for walking.
  • Questions regarding advising and financial aid.

    FAQ:

    Q: Will we be registering for classes?
    A: No, we will not be registering for classes but we will try our best to answer questions!

    Q: How long does orientation lasts?
    A: All orientation will be from 10-4 with the exception of Luncheons which runs from 10-3. UA scholars also stay until 4:30 on Orientation days to meet with the UA Scholars Manager.
